Pretty Simple: web, digital, social

June saw the annual e-Access conference in London – you can look back at the tweets via the hashtag #eAccess12.

Go ON Gold

The event saw the launch of Go ON Gold –  a new national campaign to raise awareness of the barriers faced by disabled people in accessing computers and the Internet, and to help remove those barriers.

The campaign is looking for both digital champions and potential partner organisations – if you think you could help with either, pop over to their website to find out more.

Cookies vs accessibility

June also saw more sites roll out their solutions to the new EU legislation, requiring sites to obtain informed consent before using cookies. You can read my initial concerns here, and I hope to do a follow-up post soon. If you’ve come across a solution that damages accessibility or usability, let me know and I’ll include it.

eAccess Bulletin

Finally, head over to the excellent eAccess Bulletin to read more from the eAccess conference and other accessibility news.
